DAY ONE ANNOUNCES RADIO AND TV AD CONTEST WINNERS
High school students produce winning spots to air in April.

Providence, RI. (April 3, 2007) Today, at Woonsocket Area Career and Technical Center, Day One announced the winners of its Your Voice, Your View contest, held in conjunction with FOX TV, 92 PRO-FM and Hot 106.  The event marks the beginning of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), a national observance to draw attention to this issue.

This year, Day One recognizes two first place winners, one for radio spot and one for video spot:

    Central High School

The winners were announced this morning at Woonsocket Area Career and Technical Center, where last year's winning radio ad was produced. Attendees include Attorney General Patrick Lynch, representatives from Citadel Broadcasting and FOX TV, and teachers and students from other competing schools from around the state.

The ads will air on HOT 106 and 92 PRO-FM, two of Rhode Island's most popular radio stations with teens, and FOX TV repeatedly during April as part of their commitment to SAAM.
