The CAC provides a place for professionals involved in a case to come together and share information, as well as coordinate services for the victim and family.

Multidisciplinary team meetings are attended by representatives of participating police departments, a senior prosecutor, a DCYF supervisor, a mental health professional, a medical professional (as needed), and victim advocates.

A bi-weekly team meeting is held in the Providence County office. Meetings are held monthly in the Washington and Kent County offices, and are held in the Newport County office on an as-needed basis. Other professionals involved in a case are invited to participate in these meetings as cases are reviewed periodically and tracked through the legal system.
